CENA designs, accompanies and manages projects and initiatives in the field of climate protection in aviation.
A key focus is the promotion of a Hessian pilot plant for the production of synthetic fuel using the power-to-liquid (PtL) process. It is intended to support the fuel transition in aviation with new approaches. This includes qualified contributions to discussions on the regulatory framework for the use of PtL as well as on the market ramp-up.
The competence center supports the development of sustainability in the airport sector and the strengthening of intermodality of transport modes. Research projects for the development of lower-emission and quieter aircrafts are also in focus.
